After the Hellboy Universe took me way too long I thought I would try something easier. Instead I fell into one that was even more of an undertaking than the Mingolaverse, The Krakoa comics.
The Age of Krakoa issue order was one I ran into issues myself with when reading. The publish order at times seems to be all over the place with certain titles published taking place after ones that were released later (I’m sure there are novels worth of reddit threads and discord chats that have covered this). The Dawn of X volumes were helpful, but even then it felt like certain issues were missing from the flow.
So I consulted half a dozen or so reading order guides and sorted out where they aligned and where they differed and made a custom one based on a slight mix of them all (list Linked at the bottom).
I made 2 versions of the visual guides. One of the custom order and one that is by publication date.
As always, these are three columned pages separated by issues, volumes, and omnibuses. These are broad categories with omnibus including library editions, volumes includes tpb’s and HC’s, etc. But essentially they are separated into single issue column, few issues collected column, and then column of all the larger collections of issues or volumes.
If you click on any issue you can see what volumes and omnibuses it is included in, and if you select any volume or omnibuses you can see what issues are included.
This may help no one but myself, but I find it much easier to figure out where all of the issues I want to read are located within larger collections with something more visual.
